Feeling Mellow on Bruny Island

This image was burned into my creative soul after a visit to Bruny Island. The view is from the Whiskey house on the Island, where of course a wee dram or two was sampled. Although the yachts have wind in their sails, the afternoon was quite tranquil, and I wanted to convey the mood by purposely keeping my paint applications smooth for the sky and the sea. I was feeling mellow and was taken by the late afternoon light on one of the yachts’ sails.
