I’ll Rise again

The Queenstown landscape called me back when I searched for a Tasmanian scene. The tightly winding road that leads into the town caught my attention. I timed my visit in-between downpours and managed to set up and paint my study during a four hour dry spell. I need to paint on site initially to absorb the feeling of a place. A couple of cars pulled up near me, briefly, to see what I was doing.

In my large work a man walks by carrying wrapped flowers. It is natural that people move through the landscape we depict.
