Kempton Sugarloaf

I am drawn to the quieter landscapes of Tasmania, where I often find scenes that have composed themselves into an interesting mix of landforms, trees, and fields, with glimpses of sky and clouds.

In this painting I have tried to capture the almost abstract sweep of shapes and colours around the Kempton Sugarloaf, contrasted with the more homely image of a lone sheep and improvised water trough.
