Pieman River in Paynes Grey

It was a gift, an opportunity to escape the rat race. To stay at the Corinna Wilderness Lodge with my family where my sister-in-law was managing at the time, was an offer not to be refused, however difficult and busy life seemed. The stillness and darkness, an isolated world that felt miles away from the landscape I am so accustomed. The water is where I am drawn, but this primitive river spoke differently, quietly, with a dark wisdom I have never experienced.
