Road to Port Arthur

I have spent days driving around Tasmania, drawing, thinking, observing, photographing, speculating as to the purpose and outcome of the journey of all whose paths I arbitrarily cross. I wonder about their destinations and what preoccupies them on route… so much that is precious contained in such a small vulnerable space. Each journey we embark on is a step into the unknown… This painting is no exception.
