Towards Fluted Cape

This painting looks out from Mt Wellington towards Fluted Cape and The Neck on Bruny Island This scene is typical of southern Tasmania where the coastline forms intimate, enclosed bays and waterways, capped by voluminous moody skies. The site serves my interest in locating and defining the peripheral edge of the landscape so that the painting can be read as a map recording a specific location.
