Tony Sowersby

A History of Land Use in Northern Tas, 2008

acrylic on canvas

180 x 120cm

From the artist

This painting is no one place but is set in the rural areas south of Sheffield. I believe that all landscape painting has a political and social aspect so I chose an overly grant title to encourage the viewer to look for these elements in the painting.
