Bicheno – silent counterpoint, 2010

acrylic & oilstick on linen

183 x 183cm

From the artist

The work is recording the interplay of forms, the colour notation of place and the stillness and clarity of the site during my direct and perceived experience of the beach and rock formations of Bicheno on the east coast of Tasmania. I am exploring the silence/energy of place and the transitory experience which can transform into some thing concrete while retaining a fresh and intuitive approach.
