Blackberries in Truganini Reserve, 2011

mixed media, polymers & gold leaf on canvas

45.5 x 45.5cm

From the artist

I painted this nocturnal landscape from sketches, old drawing and memories – layering of past and present – of briars, weeds and invasive plants in Truganini Reserve and around Mount Nelson. Blackberries still invade the area.
