This is a painting about the connection with water which lies deep in the psyche of island people. For me it reflects a childhood spent gazing into water. A time where the space around me was entirely ephemeral, flexing, dancing, shimmering. A world devoid of distracting images.
Born Brisbane 1970. Lives and works on Bruny Island, Tasmania. Exhibited primarily in Tasmania since 1993. Glover finalist 2004, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2012; John Leslie Art Prize 2014; & Paddington Art Prize 2016.
