Bruny Pastorale

Ferrying across to Bruny Island the world seems to relax its grip on me. Driving onto the island I feel elated, but the source of this elation is not easy for me to determine. Like a child, you feel you could hide out here; even after the invasion you feel you would never be discovered here! It is a feeling of serenity coupled with uneasiness about alienating oneself from the world order.
