I am constantly involved with negotiating the often-tenuous line between realism and abstraction. I aim to delve into the mystery and colour of a site in a way that brings forth atmosphere and painterly quality. At this place I thought not only of what the future holds for me, but of how convicts must have felt as they sailed towards those eerie and foreboding cliffs.
Lives and works in WA. Exhibiting since late 1980s primarily in WA including Joondalup Invitation Art Prize 2003 and Fremantle Art Centre 2006. Finalist in 8 Glover Art Prizes.
