One of series of recent works I have produced which explores the light and its effect on the natural landscape around Narawntapu National Park. The bush track that leads to the shoreline is very evocative of this northern Tasmanian landscape and for me is always a view full of promise.

Artist background

Born in Launceston 1951. Lives and works in Hobart. Exhibiting since mid-1980s primarily in Hobart, Melbourne and Sydney. Major retrospective, University of Tasmanain Launceston 2015. Solo shows include QVMAG 2013-14;.and Deakin University Melbourne 2010. Winner of Hobart Art Prize 1991; John Leslie Prize Gippsland 1999; and Glover Prize 2006 & 2016. Finalist in Wynne Prize 2008 & 2009. Represented in many major state and national public gallery collections.
