Nicholas Blowers

Forest Debris, 2008

oil on canvas

90 x 130cm

From the artist

I am interested in the forms that arise in situations of collapse and decay, and the great possibilities of mark making that can be employed to describe this bush clutter. This work depicts a huge fallen gum that I came across while walking in the Lake St Clair National Park.
