I am interested in the forms that arise in situations of collapse and decay, and the great possibilities of mark making that can be employed to describe this bush clutter. This work depicts a huge fallen gum that I came across while walking in the Lake St Clair National Park.
Born Barking, UK 1972. Exhibited since early 2000s primarily in Melbourne and Sydney. Finalist in many major art prizes including Paul Guest Drawing Prize and Bay of Fires 2014; Hutchins 2013; Fleurieu 2008, Waterhouse 2011 & 2007, Blake 2005 and Glover 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 & 2008.
