oil on BFK Rives paper (triptych)
120 x 120
To create this triptych, I have responded to a direct encounter with the land. I have then reformulated the experience with the viewer form my studio across the D'Entrecasteaux Channel towards the Hartz Ranges. In the process of painting, it is as if I am observing the explorer over millennia. In my mind's eye I bear witness to a geomorphological shift of the ranges evolving in a time lapse, haphazardly overlaid frame by frame.
