From the artist

Landscapes are places in which life is played out. They are full of our experiences, recollected or imagined. Even in what may at first appear a common setting, I wanted to evoke some sense of occasion. The painted landscape is not a barren place – it is a theatre full of human issues.

Artist background

Born in London 1959. Lives in Tasmania. Exhibiting since late-1980s. Highly commended in City of Albany Art Prize. Finalist in the Glover 2006, 2007, 2009 & 2010; Wrest Point Art Award 2010; Tattersall's Club Landscape Art Prize Queensland, 2015 & 2014. Winner of People's Choice Glover Prize 2009.
