Longford as the Stars Recede, 2004

watercolour and gouache on paper

77 x 77cm

From the artist

This work is a meditation on nature that attempts to convey a simplified but poetically heightened reading of the physical world that alludes to a spiritual space. I camp by the side of the river at Longford and stare at the stars imagining their creation and how Longford came into being.
