We forget that we live in a miraculous world. What is a mountain? What is the sun shining in the sky? All things in the universe are our gifts. People are the most inexplicable scientific miracles. Yet they seem to be very ordinary. If we can't appreciate them for the valuable things they are, how can we possibly live our lives fully?
Born Shiga Japan 1955. Migrated to Australia 1992. Lives in Greens Beach, Tasmania. Exhibiting since 1992 including solo at Gallery 101 Melbourne and Carnegie Gallery Hobart. Winner of Tasmanian Art Award 2001 & 2002. Finalist in Glover Prize 2005, 2008 & 2009.
