From the artist

The work was done from Robigana, on the shore of the Tamar River. Some local people told me that a community of Aborigines used to dwell happily here, before they were removed, I felt perhaps that some of this spirit remained here, hence the title which means spirit haunted tree.

Lives and works in Launceston. Exhibiting since 1960s. Finalist in Archibald 1976 & commended in Doug Moran 1988.
