The cultural landscape of 19th century European settlement has been imposed. This is evidenced by exotic oaks, elms, poplars and beech, whilst crop patterns, cultivated hills and hedgerows bordering narrow country roads complete the melange. Rich soils produce abundant food crops for worldly consumption. A beautiful market garden – indeed nature's gift.
