From the artist

In 1830, Delacroix painted "Liberty Leading the People". The same year Glover immigrated to Tasmania. This painting is an attempt to portray a particular moment in history, one that is inextricably linked to the history of painting, of ideas and event that shape our current understandings of truth and fiction.
