From the artist

As I approached Burnie the railway tracks drew me in. The track hugs the coast and tells me stories of restlessness and struggle. The landscape is partly conquered, partly wild.

Artist background

Born Adelaide 1953. Currently lives and works in Hobart. Exhibiting since early 1990s including at National Portrait Gallery 2004. Finalist in Arthur Guy Painting Prize 2003 & Doug Moran Portraiture Prize 2009. Represented in major national public collections.
