etching ink, gesso on aluminium

90 x 91.5cm

From the artist

Marks and tracks had been etched over time into the surface of the aluminium on which this image evolved. Found at the farms, stacked under a train carriage, its own history was already inscribed on its face. My painting evolved as a palimpsestic ode to the landscape and the a narrative of my aluminium canvas.
