This painting is an expression of a paradox – death and hope, dignity and humiliation, beauty and horror, worth and disdain of an animal who must die in this superb, horrific, exquisite, sad world.

Artist background

Has exhibited in her studio / gallery in Launceston since 2008. Winner of the Glover People's Choice Award 2004 & 2013; and America's Pastel 100, 2014. Highly commended inWaterhouse Natural History Prize 2012 and Glover Prize 2016. Glover finalist 2004, 2012 & 2013. Highly commended in Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize, South Australia 2012. Work held in collection of Queen Victoria Musuem and Art Gallery.
