From the artist

For me painting the landscape is like painting stories without words, stories about people I have come to know – by looking at the landscapes they inhabit. The landscape itself tells me these stories.

Artist background

Born in London 1959. Lives in Tasmania. Exhibiting since late-1980s. Highly commended in City of Albany Art Prize. Finalist in the Glover 2006, 2007, 2009 & 2010; Wrest Point Art Award 2010; Tattersall's Club Landscape Art Prize Queensland, 2015 & 2014. Winner of People's Choice Glover Prize 2009.
