The Golden Patina Fell Across the Arena

A Tasmanian Highland hut nestled in a sapling forest in the land of a thousand lakes is named ‘Rungli Rungliot’. It translates as “thus far and no further” from the Sauria Paharia people of West Bengal. Sixty years ago, the original owners found their Eden here – a place to be at peace with the world. The surrounding landscape has a rugged beauty, weather-beaten by Antarctic winds and blistering summer days since the last ice age.
