The Sea

When creating an artwork for The Glover, I started inland. Painting mountains and sweeping outlooks. However I kept on returning to the sea. The sea that surrounds Tasmania, separating it from mainland Australia. My work has recently developed an interest in the submerged figure, and water itself. The feeling it can induce visually through paint, as though there is a link between the water and the thick oil paint.
