Made on location in Battery Point, I have sought to document the shifting and reflected light as the sun goes down, and the massing of clouds in an expansive Derwent Estuary. As a visitor, I was seeking to convey thoughts of remoteness and the vast space and distance that lie beyond.
Born Victoria where he lives and works. Exhibiting since 2000 including solo show at Geelong Art Gallery 2017 and curated show Bundoora Homestead Art Centre 2016. Finalist in NSW Plein Air Painting Prize 2016; Paul Guest Prize, Bendigo Art Gallery 2016; Alice Prize, Araluen Arts Centre 2016; and Hobart Art Prize 2015. Work held in collecition of National Gallery of Australia.
