From the artist

Toarra-marra-monah is the Aboriginal name for Maria Island, east coast of Tasmania. In December 2013, I travelled to the island with the intention of painting is the north including the mountains, Bishop and Clerk. This is a plein air response to this place.

Artist background

Lives and works in Tasmania. Exhibiting since 1986 including solo shows throughout Australia and more  recently in Barcelona and Tokyo adn group shows in Australia, China, Korea, Siberia, France, Canada, USA and Japan. Work held in public collections including Australian National Gallery, Parliament House, Canberra, National Gallery of Victoria, TMAG & Femantle Arts Centre
