During my last trip to Tasmania I travelled to Strahan. A cruise around Macquarie Harbour and the Gordon River took me to the convict ruins on Sarah Island. The landscape was dramatic; the dark history of the island seemingly reflected in the depths of the tannin-stained waters of the harbour.
Born Newcastle NSW 1960. Exhibiting since mid-1990s. Winner of Waverley Art Prize Drawing 2002 & 1997. Finalist in Archibald 2004 & 1999; Portia Geech 2004, 2002,1999 & 1996; Conrad Jupiters 2004, Waterhouse 2004 & 2003.
