From the artist

Hurtling along on a bicycle through the country, one sucks in through the senses and absorbs into the soul the fleeting landscape. Ethereally linking rider to planet. Similarly, the Henty River assimilated the characteristics of the forests and button grass bogs it meanders through, instilling in its waters a peaty hue and earthy aroma.
