Discover Glover Country

In 2016, Carol and Rodney Westmore began restoring John Glover’s early colonial homestead at Patterdale – an extensive land grant on the Nile River south of Evandale. Patterdale’s sandstone façade has now been restored, its crumbling walls repaired, its exhibition room reinstated, and the recreation of the flower garden has begun.

You are invited to walk in John Glover’s footsteps and explore the place he lived in and loved during the final eighteen years of his life. You can tour the house, or take a self-guided walk to locations from which Glover painted some of his most important works.
