Alien Invasion Quadriptych

When painting alla prima (wet-on-wet) there is a window of time to work with the medium where light and form can be made and manipulated. In this moment you either capture or kill a picture and the technique allows for an element of the unknown to enter the work. Whilst painting plein air at Patterdale the unknown appears literally as UFO’s as this haunted landscape is once again invaded by aliens.
