Approaching Tasmania – Memories of East

My job with an airline at Launceston Airport meant I would not simply be an observer of the landscape but an active participant in it, at the mercy of its moods and temperament. From the plains of Western Junction and along the length of the Tamar River, the silhouette of the eastern horizon is visible and acts as a location marker for those arriving and for those of us who choose to reside in Northern Tasmania.
