Beauty is not just being beautiful. A fair balance of destruction and preservation is also a great asset to the Tasmanian landscape

My approach to landscape is not for what I see, rather for what I think. I regard the recent ‘Forest Peace Talk’ in Tasmania as epoch-making. With aware of this kind of conflict and struggle to find a fair balance between conservation and destruction, I see all that Tasmanian landscapes are precious, promising and beautiful. Through my imagery, I aim to provoke optimism and another kind of beauty which is hidden underneath something ugly in the surface appearance.
