Bridgewater Jerry

The winter fog in Hobart is known as the Bridgewater Jerry, captured here as it settles over suburban Moonah. The fog imbues the familiar with a sense of the fictive that recalls storybook illustration and cinema. Psychologically it speaks of memory and recall. Gerhard Richter describes grey as the colour of democracy – inconspicuous.
