Coles Bay

β€˜One can travel this world and see nothing. To achieve understanding it is necessary not to see many things, but to look hard at what you do see.’
Giorgio Morandi (1890–1964)

Coles Bay offers protection, shelter and stillness – welcome respite in our tumultuous world. I am interested in trying to harness these qualities in paint.
I strive for an experience of quietude where opposites like restraints and complexity find a balanced resolution.
