It’s remote, enigmatic inhospitable, rarely trodden. We claim familiarity with wilderness but we don’t truly know it. There are no pathways, no ways to go. The landscape offers no shelter. I wish to take people where they can’t easily go physically. A recognition of the relative place of a modern day walker in this land formed in history in another time. When we see such a timeless, stark environment, we accept our relative unimportance. Accept with awe.
