Even Our Monuments Will Fall

Using diverse materials and processes, the artist conflates fragments of Gustave Doré’s A New Zealander Contemplating the Ruins of London and John Glover’s Corrobery of Natives in Mills Plains, bringing them together to picture an unstable, abstracted ‘Tasmanian landscape’ that is slowly reclaiming the ruins and monument of previous cultures.
