Faded Arcadia

The image uses birds endemic to the Northern Tasmanian landscape. I have inserted them into a loose interpretation of a pen and watercolor image by John Glover, “Landscape with Cattle Mills Plains”, 1833, in order to overlay the present with the past. This work continues my preoccupations with Tasmanian wildlife and bird species, their endangered local habitat, and their unacknowledged presence in the landscape.
