Firebreaks
As we move through the Tasmanian landscape there are signs of recent fire activity: smoke plumes in the distance, a scorched hillside, a burning stump, a swathe of blackened earth abuts pale green and gold pasture, twisted fencing and dangling droppers and then the counter measures…ploughed strips, greenways, roads and tracks and creeks and dams and in the distance, the sea.
