Gold Skin of Light

Lately my artistic focus has been on painting the landscape of The Norfolk Plains near Longford in Tasmania After a serendipitous visit to Woolmers Estate in 2022 I was struck by the surrounding landscape and the colonial history that somehow seems to be embedded into to this landscape I returned each season staying several days at a time and found myself painting the half-light of dawn or dusk in a reduced palette of colour seeking the subtle tones and blurred edges in the landscape with the intention of conveying a universal sense of time and place.
