As an intuitive painter my work focuses not just on the landscape itself but rather on our deeper, ephemeral relationship with memory and experience of places once visited. This work draws on memories of my arrival in Australia and an autumn spent with friends in the Launceston area, the landscape overlaid with a sense of familiarity, tracing both the literal and the emotional journey of the landscape remembered.
