Imprinting the Landscape

The work uses imagery representing different countries that circled and encroached into this nurturing island culture – the Dutch, the French and, predominantly, the British. The maireener shell has been used as a reference to the Aboriginal culture with permission from local Aboriginal women artists who use it in their traditional shell necklaces.
