Jennifer (St Columba Falls, Pyengana)
Nestled in the tiny village of Pyengana, St Columba Falls State Reserve is a cool temperate rainforest dominated by giant man-ferns. But it wasn’t the reserve’s star attraction – a ninetymetre high gushing waterfall – that struck me most. It was the untouched messiness of the forest floor and the seemingly perfect symmetry of man-ferns. It symbolises connectivity, growth, restoration, rejuvenation and the intricacies of interpersonal relationships.
