Landscape with Ostriches

The clearing and destruction of Tasmania’s native and old-growth forests has increased dramatically in the past ten or so years. Improvements in mechanisation have allowed vast areas of forest to be quickly cleared and replaced by fast growing Eucalypts or Radiata pines. I am continually frustrated by our government’s lack of interest in the environment and in particular its support and promotion of the forest industry.
