Late Light – Northern Midlands

Often when I am sketching and photographing the rural landscape, and contemplating the majesty of a particular view, I am drawn to think about the people who live and work on the land and what their lives might be like. In many respects my pastoral paintings are an acknowledgement of these people and their struggles.
