Mr Glover’s Specimen Garden

This drawing has been articulated into a fold-up sketchbook format to accentuate the landscape and then overlaid with English plant and cultural specimens, referencing the seemingly irresistible desire to transfer memory to an alien native environment. It mirrors Glover’s own care in selecting seeds and plants for his own 1830s artist garden.
