The rhythms, lines, tones colours and the play of light across the foliage set up formal propositions which I find intensely satisfying and challenging. There is also something about documenting nature in this way that seems important when its future is in the balance. This image is near where Gunns’ proposed Pulp Mill is to be building. The future of these trees is uncertain.
