Pond Landscape I

My painting is about time spent on the wetlands on Skullbone Plains, 120kms northwest of Hobart. In these wetlands the various shapes for the waterways reflect the surrounding moss plants and pineapple grass cushion mounds. I was inspired to paint a spatial landscape – the empty wilderness of this isolated spot.
